This $20 Add-On Fixes My Biggest Issue With The Meta Ray-Bans
I absolutely love the Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses, but I’ve always hated one design choice. Meta wants you to carry around their chunky charging case just to give the glasses a boost on the go. It looks nice, feels premium, but it’s clunky. And worse, it’s the only official way they expect you to charge these things when you're out.
The glasses charge through two pogo pins on the bottom of the frame. That’s actually a great design because it means the case is technically unnecessary. The pins just need contact. Which is why this little $20 adapter I found might be the best accessory these glasses have right now.
The $20 USB-C Adapter That Changes Everything
This thing is tiny. It plugs right into the pogo pin area and gives the glasses USB-C charging instantly. No case. No bulge in your pocket. Just your regular power bank or cable.
I’ve been using it for a bit now and it’s honestly a lifesaver. I can finally throw the Ray-Bans in a bag or leave them hanging instead of committing pocket space to a giant battery case. It’s one of those products that Meta should have made, but didn’t.
Why This Is a Game Changer
No more carrying the chunky case
Charges from any USB-C cable or power bank
Costs just twenty bucks
Works instantly with the built-in pogo pin system
It just makes the glasses feel more normal. Less like a gadget you have to babysit.
Final Thoughts
This $20 adapter basically lets me ignore Meta’s giant charging case forever and honestly, that alone makes it worth it.
If Meta announced this as an official accessory tomorrow, people would lose their minds. It fixes the most annoying part of owning these smart glasses for only $20.
