I Bought a Fake Samsung Z Flip for $50 on AliExpress: Here’s What I Found…

I Bought a $50 Fake Samsung Z Flip

So I was scrolling through AliExpress and saw this “Samsung Z Flip 4” listed for $50. Obviously, it wasn’t real, but I had to see what $50 gets you in the world of fake foldables.

When it arrived, the box actually looked kind of convincing. It even had branding and details printed on it, though it proudly mentioned it has four IMEI’s. Apparently, one isn’t enough for this thing.

Unboxing It Was Already Weird

Inside the box, there were random cutouts that looked like they were for ventilation holes, which makes no sense for a phone. Then I pulled out the device and instantly spotted the infamous blue fake camera lens that every knockoff seems to have.

There’s also what looks like an external display on the front, but it’s completely fake. It’s literally just part of the design.

The “2.6-Inch” Screen and Four SIM Card Slots?!

Here’s where it gets wild. When I turned it on, I immediately got alerts to insert four SIM cards. I popped the back cover off and sure enough, there were four SIM card slots. I’ve never seen that before. Why would anyone even need that many?

The box also claims it has a 2.6-inch display. It was clear the screen was way smaller than that. It works, but it feels cramped, low-res, and just bad overall.

The Build Is Surprisingly Interesting

I’ll give it this: the hinge doesn’t feel horrible. It even has LED indicators on the back that light up when it’s on. The flashlight, though? It’s on the top of the phone, which is such a random spot.

Final Thoughts

For $50, this fake Z Flip is exactly what I expected: cheap, janky, and kind of hilarious. It’s not something you’d actually use, but it’s fun to see what these knockoff manufacturers come up with. Four SIM cards? A fake display? LED lights on the back? It’s like they just threw every weird idea into one device.

Honestly, with four SIM card slots, this thing might be more of a wallet than a phone.

See you in the next article.
