It's finally time to turn this iPhone 17 Pro into a see-through masterpiece, a transparent mod.

First things first, we need to remove the back glass using the suction cup. Then, using a razor blade, I carefully scrape off every piece, including the paint. Some of you suggested paint thinner, but trust me, it won’t work here, this paint is baked straight onto the glass.

This process is slow, but patience is key.

Tools That Make Life Easier

I almost forgot to show you the secret weapon for this mod. This new tool heats up the blade while you’re scraping, making everything come off like butter. Seriously, it’s a game-changer.

Quick note: Always check where your parts come from. I grabbed one from Amazon, and as expected, the quality was questionable. Compare that to the genuine Apple back glass for the iPhone 17 Pro, which cost me $180 and came with the wireless charger and magnets already installed. With a little finesse, we can remove these components without breaking anything.

Cleaning and Reassembling

Once the paint is gone, the glass is clear. But we’re not done yet….

The wireless charging coil needs a cleanup before it goes back onto the glass. Then, it’s just a matter of aligning everything perfectly and adding the bottom magnet. Finally, replace the old adhesive, and the transformation starts to shine.

Honestly, the result looks kind of mid, I had a feeling it wouldn’t look as good as some of the other mods but this is meh.

Final Thoughts

Transforming an iPhone 17 Pro into a transparent device is messy and not really worth it. Save your energy for a phone like the iPhone Air instead..
