You guys have been asking if it’s possible to change the color of the iPhone 17 Pro back glass. Well, now that parts are available, I wanted to give it a shot and see what happens.

The back glass actually comes with magnets pre-installed, but they’re a bit off in size. Not a big deal, though, since it’s easy to adjust.

Removing the Back Glass

To start, we remove the two pentalobe screws at the bottom of the iPhone. Then, using a suction cup, the back glass just pops right off. There’s usually a metal bracket here with a connector but we already had that removed in advance.

Next, we take the new back glass and carefully place it on the phone. I was hoping it would look good, and honestly, I think it does. It has a really sleek vibe. But I can’t help thinking it might look even cooler if it were transparent.
