The iPhone 17 Pro Max Looks A Little Like an Android On The Inside

This phone is the most Android-looking iPhone I’ve ever seen. Apple, the company known for designing beautiful internals that almost feel too pretty to cover up, has kind of ruined that reputation with the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

The internals don’t have that clean, symmetrical design anymore. Instead, they look messy and uninspired, almost like something you’d find in a random Android phone.

Why This Hurts Transparent Mods

The iPhone 16 Pro Max was a masterpiece. Not only was it the most beautiful iPhone Apple ever made, but with the transparent mod, it became absolutely stunning. You could show off the internal components, and it actually looked like a work of art.

But Apple has taken that away with the 17 Pro Max. The phone opens from the front again, which makes transparent mods nearly impossible. And even if you managed to pull one off, it wouldn’t look good, because the internals just aren’t worth showing anymore.

Apple’s Design Choice

By going back to this front-opening design, Apple made repairs a little easier for screen replacements, but at the cost of aesthetics. And for anyone who loves modding or just appreciating Apple’s usually clean engineering, this feels like a step backward.

It almost feels like Apple traded beauty for practicality, which is ironic because they’ve always marketed their devices as a mix of both.

Final Thoughts

The iPhone 17 Pro Max might be powerful, but inside it’s a disappointment. For me, Apple’s shift makes it look more like an Android than an iPhone. The transparent mod is basically dead, and that’s a shame, because the iPhone 16 Pro was proof that Apple could make a phone that was just as gorgeous on the inside as it was on the outside.
