The Fake iPad Pro Max Looks Convincing… Until You Open It

The fake iPad Pro Max already raised a lot of red flags during the original unboxing. The software looked questionable, the specs sounded impossible, and the entire thing felt like it was trying way too hard to imitate Apple.

But opening it up made everything much clearer.

Opening It Up

From the outside, the tablet honestly tries pretty hard to look convincing. The design copies Apple’s styling closely enough that someone casually browsing AliExpress could probably believe the marketing photos.

The inside tells a very different story.

The battery was completely wrapped in tape, the internal layout looked unfinished, and there were random graphite sheets attached near the motherboard that felt more decorative than functional.

Nothing about it looked engineered properly. It looked assembled as cheaply as possible.

The “Specs” Fall Apart Immediately

The AliExpress listing advertised massive RAM configurations, huge storage options, and flagship-level performance claims.

Internally, none of that looked believable.

The hardware looked closer to what you’d expect from a super low-end Android tablet, not some futuristic “iPad Pro Max” competitor. Tiny components, budget construction, and shortcuts everywhere.

This is the problem with a lot of fake electronics online. The listing can say absolutely anything because most buyers will never open the device to verify it.

Final Thoughts

This teardown pretty much tells you everything you need to know about fake devices like this.

The marketing can make them look impressive, the listings can promise whatever they want, and the exterior might even fool people at first glance. But once you actually open them up, the reality shows itself fast.

And in this case, that reality was a mess of cheap shortcuts pretending to be something premium.

Nothing says “iPad Pro Max” quite like a battery wrapped in mystery tape.
